Vernon François styled Lupita Nyong’o’s hair for the cover and series of editorial style pages for VOGUE USA’s, October 2015 issue.  The shoot took place over two days in a series of locations in Paris - including the Picasso Museum and the stunning house of Schiaparelli - with photographers Mert Alas + Marcus Piggot.

“My first VOGUE cover.  Lupita Nyong’o and I had been on an incredible life-changing trip to Kenya just beforehand.  The contrast with then finding ourselves in the midst of Paris Fashion Week and shooting the cover of VOGUE was huge.  This particular shot was taken at the Picasso Museum and was the last in a two-day shoot.  Styling wise, it was important for me to create a dynamic feel with lots of dimension to Lupita’s hair.  It’s a really great shot”. – Vernon François.
